After Harvest
My latest art piece created from fabric, yarn, cheese cloth, and embroidery thread. The fabric was hand-dyed by me, and I did all the embroidery by hand, as well. It has been fused to an 8"x10" canvas board. I officially feel like a farmer's wife after learning how to do fall tillage which is what inspired this piece. It's what I see outside when I look out the window. The piece will be for sale at the BHS Craft Fair next weekend, Saturday, November 3.

Back to TVHS
Tomorrow is my first substitute teaching job. I am so excited because I get to sub for Mrs. O'Brien, my high school art teacher! So glad she visited my booth at the craft fair on Saturday! Art I is doing weaving....must be a new project because I don't remember doing any weaving, so I get to show-and-tell some of my pieces. In Art II I'm showing them how to make origami lilies. Not sure what is in store for Technical Applications or Advanced Studio...It will be a surprise. More to come tomorrow about my first substitute teaching experience.

My first ever blog entry!
Here we go....I've finally decided to give blogging a try. I have given up on the job search, and I am starting my own business. I am pretty sure it is what God is telling me to do which is perfectly fine with me!! I am working on getting all the proper paperwork filled out, and hopefully setting up my own web site and Etsy shop soon. Wish me luck! ....And please feel free to start sending business my way.
My business focuses are going to be: graphic design, basic web site design, wedding invitations, baby announcements, and fiber arts.
