Happy Birthday Write.Click.Scrapbook! | Blog Hop
Not only is it gallery reveal day, but we're celebrating Write.Click.Scrapbook's birthday too with a blog hop! If you are hopping along, congratulations, you've made it to the last stop. We're each sharing three tips with you today.
I have a stack of blank index cards at my desk. When I think of something I want to journal or my son says something funny, I write it down to be saved and used on a layout.
I think one of the best things about digital photography is the freedom you have to snap away. Don't be afraid to try a variety of different angles when shooting your subject.
One of my favorite principles of design is repetition. Take an item or items and repeat it one or more times on your layout.
Here's my layout for the June gallery. It was inspired by Diane Payne's embellishment week back in January. It was fun to scrap from my stash and pull out some really old items and mix them with some newer items.
If you'd like to start the blog hop from the beginning or anywhere in between, here's the full list:

WCS Sneak
Yes, it is time for another sneak peek. This is for the Write. Click. Scrapbook February gallery. You can find me over there blogging all week too—starting tomorrow.

Hey Hey
Look what I found! One of my recent Little Black Dress Kit Club layouts made the Crate Paper blog! I'm a little behind in blog reading and just stumbled across it.
My last Design Team gallery with Elle's Studio is live. The January gallery at Write. Click. Scrapbook is up for perusing too. You can find me over on the Ormolu blog on Thursday next week. My scrapbooking area and supplies have been pretty lonely lately. I'm buried in graphic design work and can't wait to make time for playing with paper.
and because every post should have a photo....

WCS Sneak Time
It's sneak time for Write. Click. Scrapbook. Gallery goes live on January 1.
I feel like all I've been doing lately is showing sneaks here and sending you off elsewhere to see the rest of whatever it is I have to share. I cannot believe how close Christmas is!! I still have quite a bit to do, but I got to check a couple things off my list yesterday. Lucas got to decorate his first gingerbread house last night, and I got some gifts wrapped after the boys went to bed. There's still some shopping to be done and handmade gifts to throw together. Plus I'm cooking Christmas Eve. I hope I'm able to get it all done!

December Galleries
December galleries went live on Saturday over at Elle's Studio and Write. Click. Scrapbook.
Here's one of my layouts for Elle's Studio, created with tags from the Be Merry line.

The scribbles in the background were created with a Versamarker watermark pen and gold embossing powder. Really fun technique! I'm loving the gold trend right now!
Check back tomorrow for Little Black Dress sneak peeks!

Write. Click. Scrapbook | October Gallery
The October gallery is live over at Write. Click. Scrapbook. The theme this month is Pinterest Made Me Do It. You can find the WCS blog post here and the gallery here.
This layout was inspired by a camera illustration by Dan Gnelding of Grayhood Design & Illustration.
Pin is here and original source can be found here.
To create the sheer colored circles I used translucent vellum, Copic markers, the Copic Airbrush System, and Colorless Blender solution in a small Tim Holtz mini mister. I sprayed two 8 1/2 x 11 sheets with different colors. On one sheet I sprayed yellows, oranges, reds, pinks and purples. On the second sheet I sprayed blues and greens and realized I'm seriously lacking in blue and green shades. After airbrushing, I sprayed colorless blender all over the sheets, let dry and spray again in certain areas if I wanted a more noticeable texture. Once dry, I cut a variety of circles with my good ole Creative Memories cutting system. I adhered the circles with Glossy Accents.
