Scrapbooking Studio Projects | Crate Paper

Yes, I am still here! Did you miss me? I am hoping to get back to a more consistent blogging schedule soon. Just popping in today to share my projects created for The Scrapbooking Studio with Crate Paper's line by Maggie Holmes.

First up is an altered lampshade. It was inspired by this pin by Dottie Angel. The lampshade was purchased at Goodwill. I removed the fabric shade portion to leave just a bare frame. I then grabbed some fabric from my stash, tore it into strips, and wrapped the frame with it. I punched a variety of shapes and ran them through my sewing machine to create garland. My Silhouette SD was used for the larger shapes. Cute little clothespins from the Maggie Holmes line were used to attached the bigger shapes (and some hot glue). I LOVE it and can't wait to hang it in the baby girl's room!

I used the camera from the package of mini album assorted die-cut inserts supplement as the focus of this layout. Circles were cut and mist was splattered. I added some My Mind's Eye enamel dots in with the mist splatters, and I love the effect! Those ombre Sundrifter Thickers from Studio Calico/American Crafts are my new favorite alpha.

The Maggie Holmes line is so versatile. Not only is suitable for boy layouts, but it's also suitable for girl layouts. Love lines that can easily be used for both! The fabric frames in the collection are awesome! Something I'll be hoarding for sure.

And a fun little tag. The confetti filled envelope is also from the mini album assorted die-cut supplement.
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with a post celebrating write.click.scrapbook's birthday.
