Elle's Studio | Spooky Tales & Be Merry Blog Hop

Today we are celebrating the release of Elle’s Studio’s two new lines for Autumn and Christmas: Spooky Tales and Be Merry! These new lines are hitting the stores this week and you can also get them on their web site now!

The Spooky Tales line works great for Autumn/Fall AND Halloween! And, the Be Merry line is perfect for Christmas layouts, cards, and would work great for your December Daily! And, as a bonus, with both lines they’ve also worked in tons of tags that are perfect for Project life!

I love both these lines and the versatility they offer. The tags in both lines cover all your scrapbooking needs from October through December:
  • Going to the pumpkin patch...check
  • Making your child's Halloween costume.....check
  • Your husband is a farmer (that's me) & it's harvest time...check
  • Reflecting on Thanksgiving & all that you are thankful for...check
  • Photo with Santa...check
  • Going caroling....check
  • and the list goes on...

Here’s a little peek of something I created for the October gallery that is debuting on October 1st.
Supplies I used in this sneak peek are: Spooky Tales Tidbits. I had so much fun making this layout and  documenting last Halloween. Sometimes it pays to not scrap chronologically. I had not yet scrapped Halloween 2011, and these Elle's Studio tags were perfect for it! My October challenge every year is to make my son's Halloween costume, and that's what this layout is about. We'll see what happens when more kids come into the picture =)  Mark your calendar for October 1st when the full layout will be revealed in the Design Team Gallery on the Elle's Studio web site.

Today I get to giveaway not one, but two of my favorite items from the new release to one lucky winner! Leave a comment to be entered to win a set of Spooky Tales Tidbits and Be Merry Tidbits. I’ll draw one winner on Saturday, September 29th, so make sure you check back to see if you’ve won! Please include your e-mail address in the comment so I have a way of contacting you if you win.

Don't forget to keep going! There are different prizes and winners at every stop in the hop - you have 14 total chances to WIN:

So Many Cards | Little Black Dress Kit Club

I tackled my Little Black Dress September Kit assignment a little differently this month. I made three layouts and SIX cards. The layouts were shared here. I got out a square punch this month, cut them in half, and played with triangles this month.

Little Black Dress Kit Club | September kit | Always Dream

Seriously! What an awesome kit this month! You must check out the contents of this kit--there's even a roll of washi tape this month.

I had to find some girly photos for this kit this month, so I pulled out some old photos of my cousin and I. Anyone remember Wuzzles? That's what on my cake--the yellow one--I don't remember her name. My inspiration for this page was the Glitz paper with the banners and confetti. I cut the corner off right along the banners and went from there--it's why the whole page is on a slant.

SUPPLIES   Little Black Dress September kit--patterned paper: My Mind's Eye & Glitz Design | tape: Glitz Design | trim | button: Prima [non-kit items: yardstick: American Crafts | Silhouette SD | embossing powder: Stampendous | watermark pen: Tsukineko | stamps: My Mind's Eye | sewing machine]

I love that gold sequin trim and so I made it the inspiration for this page. I used a Versamark pen with gold embossing powder to make my title. I repeated the gold embossing powder throughout the page to tie it all together.

I really loved the roll of washi tape included in this kit....can you tell? Just wait until you see the cards I made! I love how it looks with kraft paper too.  ...Although I like the way most things look with kraft paper. These photos are from 2008. It's totally awesome, lovely craziness that the gal in the green and the guy in the stripes got married this summer! Our junior counselors are all grown up...makes me feel a little old.

Thanks for stopping by. Check back in a couple days for a BUNCH of cards using the September Little Black Dress kit.
