First off, this month
Little Black Dress is a sponsor over at
CSI. Little Black Dress has given THREE kits for prizes for 3 lucky people who play along with their case file challenges. I played along this month as a Guest Detective, and submitted layouts for Case File
No. 22 and
No. 23. The layout below is for Case File Number 22. I decided to do some hidden journaling on this one. I journaled more than usual and I knew It wouldn't fit on the page very well.
Little Black Dress June kit patterned paper: October Afternoon, My Mind’s Eye, Basic Grey, Bazzill Basics Paper | button: My Mind’s Eye | label sticker: October Afternoon | ribbon & red tag [non-kit items: blue cardstock: Die Cuts With a View | Silhouette SD | font: Lobster 1.3 | shipping tag, cardboard, & paint]
This next one is for Case File Number 23. I got out a matching
Copic marker for this one and added a bit of a watercolor effect to the stitched circles on the right side. Sorry, the photos don't show it very well. It's clean and simple and I'm really happy with way it came together.

[non-kit items: cardstock: American Crafts | stamp: Stampendous | Silhouette SD | font: Carbon | Copic marker, vellum, & tiny attacher]
We got to celebrate my son's third birthday last month. He's finally starting to understand birthdays and holidays, so it was really fun this year to celebrate. He blew the candles so fast we actually forgot about singing Happy Birthday until gift opening time. I got out some modeling paste this month too. I used this punch from EK Success as my mask and scraped on the paste with an old gift card. Love this technique and love the white on white. Again, sorry, it didn't photograph well. You'll have to click on the images to view them larger.

Another layout created with some Copic markers again this month....and modeling paste too (see third photo). I used a Crafter's Workshop Template this time with the modeling paste. This layout features my sister-in-law and brother-in-law, also known as My Anchor Holds. Check out their site and take a listen.

Last up is a layout with an interesting color palette. It's a little crazy for me and was for some reason very difficult to photograph and get accurate looking colors. I was trying to write like Dr. Seuss when I created the title—it's very Go Dogs Go inspired—something we've been reading a lot lately. The patterned paper in this kit is amazing this month!! Go get one before their gone! You won't be disappointed.

I've got a few more things in store for you this month. Thanks for looking and stop by again!
