Little Black Dress | July Kit

So I really LOVE my Little Black Dress layouts this month....it might seem like I say that every month, but I really do love these!

As soon as I saw these numbers I knew I wanted to make some sort of list. Lucas' bedtime routine is important and I'm sure it will change as the years the pass by, so I wanted to document what it's like right now.

Some of the first photos of my son. This is the first time I've ever scrapped them. I've been afraid to because I wanted the page to be perfect. The photos were taken by my father-in-law. He took similar ones when my husband was born. Need to find those and put them side by side sometime or scrap them on a page together! I created the fletching design in Illustrator and transferred it over to Silhouette Studio. (Fletching is the feathers of an arrow.....I had to do an internet search to figure that one out.)

I dug out my set of colored pencils this month and used them on the next two layouts below (for the circles). I predict a lot more colored pencil usage in the near future.

When I saw the zebra and cheetah patterned papers by Heidi Swapp, I knew I had to use them for our most recent trip to the zoo. We're, at times, a ridiculously frugal family. I took Lucas to the zoo the day before he turned three. Once you turn three, admission isn't free anymore. The sea lion show and the bridge in the rainforest exhibit are his favorite.
