Tombow and My Mind's Eye | Blog Hop

Welcome to Day 2 of the Tombow & My Mind's Eye blog hop!

I'm already a really big fan of Tombow. I usually use their MONO permanent adhesive tape runner (the blue one) on every layout and card I make. I buy the refills in bulk at my local chain craft store. I was excited to open my box and see some new adhesives I have never tried. I've been using the adhesives all month, but saved these two projects just for this hop.

On this layout I decided to grab a material or two that might be a little challenging to adhere—tissue paper and an extremely thin cut title. I adhered the tissue paper with small strips of the XTREME adhesive tape runner, but it being tissue paper, the removable one most likely would have sufficed. I like that the adhesive tape is clear, you don't even know it's under the tissue paper.
For the title I used the MONO multi liquid glue. What I love about this one is the two different tips offered. One end gives you a thin line of adhesive and the other end, a thick one. Also, I NEVER had to stick a needle in the tip to unclog it! This fact alone could make me switch from my usual liquid adhesive that I'm constantly unclogging with a needle. I also noticed (by accident) that it dries tacky, so there's no rush to put the glue on, flip it over, and press it down. You have plenty of working time with the glue.

Record It! Charmed journal card. Tombow XTREME adhesive & MONO Multi Liquid Glue. Other-Jillibean Soup alpha & Silhouette Cameo.

For the card I really gave the XTREME adhesive a test. Does it work on fabric or canvas? Why yes it does! ...really well actually. That piece of canvas isn't going anywhere without taking some of that pretty patterned paper with it. The XTREME adhesive tape runner means serious business. I used the MONO liquid again for my title.
SUPPLIES My Mind's Eye Now & Then Mildred 6x6 paper pad, Mildred "Oh Happy Day" chipboard elements, Mildred "Oh Happy Day" alpha/word stickers, & Mildred "Today" accent stickers. Record It! Charmed enamel dots. Tombow XTREME adhesive & MONO Multi Liquid Glue. Other-unbleached canvas & Silhouette Cameo.

Thanks Tombow for letting me try some new adhesive!

OK seriously, no need to needle the glue hole, seriously!? That's the stuff a crafters dreams are made of!

I love the large, thin die cut words on both your lo and card! Super cool card with the fabric and I really appreciate your input and being able to see the result of the glue test hehe. Thanks so much for being a part of day 2's hop and for this great post!~
